Mr. Dallman draws our attention to KW's recent statement on terrorism, and his upcoming book on the same subject. Now, I'm very interested to see whether KW's new book has some original, and useful things to see. Will it talk about the ANC, PLO, IRA and attempt to connect the dots between these groups and Al'Qaeda? Will those dots be self-serving, self-reinforcing ideas or genuine connections? Who knows?
One thing I will say, is that I fear the problems that Matthew points out aren't necessarily caused by Wilber's ideas per se, but by the Integral Naked format. Short, chatty audio pieces in a non-debate setting don't really offer much, don't allow for any detailed analysis or fleshing out of ideas and lead to the sort of shorthand (and arguably necessary) generalizations that we all make in real life, but can't really be classified as groundbreaking ideas. I'd much rather pay money to read a blog by all these Integral thinkers, or to read their essays, or scan their archives, then pay to listen in on their conversations.
Anyway, just a thought. I'm on holiday 'till tuesday, so I'll see you all then.
